The story begins in 1865, when a distinguished villa rose on the southern shore of Baveno for the Marquis Durazzo, of an influential Genoese family. In the 1880s it was reborn as a grand hotel - the celebrated Palace Grand Hotel of Baveno - whose lakeside elegance welcomed illustrious guests over the decades, from Queen Victoria to Winston Churchill. Baveno Palace carries that storied legacy forward for a new era.
